My father's funeral was in Terre Haute In. However his ashes were to be inurned here in Greenwood at Saint Francis and Clare RCC. In the craziness of the planning our request for a funeral director to attend the service got lost with other funeral home. I called about 11:45 am for a service at 1 o'clock. John dropped everything he was doing to drive directly down so we could have what we needed done. Not a short drive either as he was at the East street location. A 25 minute drive both ways for a 5 minutes service. Talk about going out of your way for someone else. He completely saved the day. God bless you John! Words can not express how much it meant that he was willing to help us out.

Thank you to the many staff members of G.H. Herrmann who assisted us with all aspects of my dad's service. The visitation and Masonic funeral service held in Greenwood was beautiful and comforting. The coordination with Aly Funeral Home allowed us to have the celebration of his life and family at his old home place in Southern Illinois on a beautiful spring morning. Your kindness and your commitment throughout the entire process will never be forgotten.

We selected G. H. Herrmann’s because so many other families we knew had done so, and because my mother was drawn to the presence of several grief-support dogs on staff. I am pleased to say that our experience was as positive as I think an interaction with a funeral home could be. Marcia Coffey, John Dice, Byron Murphy, April Herrmann and everyone else we dealt with were as helpful and professional as they could be. The well-appointed and maintained Madison Avenue facility provided a fine setting for our memorial arrangements, and my mother’s indecision about a final resting place came to an end once she saw The Gardens at Olive Branch. We recommend G. H. Herrmann’s highly.

Dear Marcia, Thank you for the "Butler" Bulldogs gift card. What a nice and unexpected surprise. We have not used it yet, but we're certain we will find the perfect item to use it on. I apologize for the delay in our thank you. The past couple of months have been a bit crazy. Thank you for all your help in our funeral planning. We do appreciate your answering all of our questions so graciously while we were trying to decide on something so difficult. You are a true asset to the Herrmann family. We have not made it to a Women's B.B game yet, but hope to do so now that life has calmed down. Mike and I are looking forward to the start of the A-10 conference.
